Student Life and Community Culture: A Vibrant Campus Community
Student life at Humber College is rich and diverse. IGNITE, an organization established and managed by students, oversees 49 clubs catering to various interests, including the Anime Club, Architecture and Design Student Association, Sustainability Club, Chinese Students and Scholars Association, Indian Cultural Society, Korean Drama Club, and Street Dance Club. Students can also create their own clubs to develop leadership skills, share hobbies, and make new friends.
In athletics, the Humber Hawks compete in 19 sports, including rugby, softball, baseball, soccer, golf, badminton, curling, volleyball, and basketball. Humber College became the first team in the Ontario College Athletic Association (OCAA) to win 500 medals. In 2018, the Humber Hawks clinched their 50th Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) national championship, becoming the first institution to achieve this milestone.
Humber College provides extensive support services for students. The International Office serves as the “home base” for international students, assisting with academic and personal challenges while offering regular orientation programs and organizing short trips. The library houses 118,000 physical volumes and over 2.41 million e-books, featuring a 24-hour study hall.
