Flexible Pathways: Dual Certification in Four Years
NAIT offers diverse options for further education. The college collaborates with Cape Breton University in Nova Scotia, Eastern Canada to offer a joint Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, providing students with opportunities for further academic advancement.
Most notably, NAIT’s International BTech Pathway Program is a unique four-year pathway. Students begin with a two-year technical diploma program, then seamlessly transition into the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree program, ultimately earning both a Canadian diploma and a bachelor’s degree within four years.
This program also offers international students the $10,000 BTech Scholar Award, disbursed as $5,000 annually during the first two years of the BTech program. Graduates become eligible to apply for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) for up to three years, gaining valuable Canadian work experience. Scholarships and Cost of Living
NAIT offers multiple scholarships for international students. In addition to the BTech Scholar Award, the International Opportunity Scholarship is available to international students entering the third or fourth year of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program, with a total value of CAD 15,000 (paid over two years).
Edmonton offers relatively affordable living costs, with monthly expenses ranging from approximately $1,840 to $2,190 CAD. This includes about $900 CAD/month for housing (one-bedroom apartment) and $400 CAD/month for food. Students can supplement living expenses through part-time work, with on-campus jobs typically paying around $4,500 CAD per semester.
