The University of Windsor offers multiple scholarships for international students. Entrance Scholarships are automatically awarded to international students demonstrating exceptional academic ability. Generally not requiring application, these are granted based on high school academic achievements. The university will issue a written scholarship notification.

The Engineering Women’s Entrance Award is also available to international undergraduate students. Worth CAD 1,000, it targets young international women who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability or possess a strong academic background during high school.

The University of Windsor maintains close cooperation with multiple Chinese universities. A friendship agreement has been established with Wuhan University. Collaboration between the two institutions spans multiple areas, including student exchange programs, 1+3 or 2+2 credit transfer arrangements, and more. The University of Windsor considers Wuhan University its most important partner in China. Not only does it prioritize admissions for students from Wuhan University’s China-Canada Program, but it also offers substantial scholarships specifically for these students. Individual scholarships can range from CAD 17,000 to CAD 20,000, equivalent to approximately RMB 110,000 to RMB 140,000.

Additionally, the University of Windsor has established a cooperative relationship with Qingdao University, jointly developing academic exchanges, faculty exchanges, and the 1+3 Qingdao University International Undergraduate Program.

Diverse Programs and Flexible Admission

The University of Windsor offers a comprehensive range of disciplines, providing over 165 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees, as well as co-op and professional bachelor’s degrees, to more than 14,000 students across fields including arts, business, education, engineering, human sciences and sports, law, and sociology.

A distinctive feature of the University of Windsor compared to other universities is its flexible start dates. Most programs begin not only in the fall (September) but also in the winter (January) and even the summer (May). At the undergraduate level, it offers over 200 majors and more than 50 minors, covering business, engineering, science, humanities and social sciences, nursing, education, law, and other disciplines.

For admission, most programs require an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 83. Conditional admission without language scores is available, providing flexibility for students who have not yet met the language requirements.
